Interview Preparation

I offer targeted interview preparation sessions aimed at building your confidence and maximising the chances of a successful interview.

Interview Preparation Sessions

With 25 years of corporate experience, the majority of them spent in Human Resources roles in industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and professional services, I know first hand what employers are looking for and what techniques they are using when interviewing candidates. This combined with my knowledge of psychology, allows me to help people thoughtfully prepare for what is often perceived as a stressful interviewing process, and feel confident that you will be able to present yourself in the best possible way during the interview.

Whilst everyone’s situation and needs are unique, these are just a few things we may work on in the interview preparation session(s):

  • How to build rapport with your interviewer

  • How to tell your story encompassing who you are and what you're good at

  • How to speak knowledgeably about your core competencies, link them to the role requirements and position yourself as a good candidate for the job

  • Role playing and rehearsing most typical interviewing scenarios

  • Knowing what key messages you want to deliver to the interviewer and how to do this

  • How to answer most common as well as challenging questions

  • How to ask informed questions

We will do Mock Interviews when I ask a mix of general and role-specific questions and provide constructive feedback on your responses, body language, tone and the overall presentation. I will highlight the areas of improvement to focus ahead of your interview in order to perform to the best of your ability and make a good impression on your interviewer.

Businesswoman

Client Feedback

In my line of work, I am responsible for providing the leadership team of a large financial institution with information that enables them to make decisions valued in hundreds of millions of pounds. Tanya has coached and advised me on how to problem solve whilst remaining impartial, deal with conflict and get others onboard with what I believed was right for the company. Her dual skills as an MBA and a psychotherapist turned out to be the right combination as she can understand business context, help to think through the complex relationships which require one to thread delicately, and provide constructive opinions of how to make good career moves
